A Game-Changer Launching Next Week – What to Expect
The Sony Xperia 1 VII is likely to launch with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 12GB of RAM, meaning it should deliver super smooth performance and handle heavy tasks with ease
Sony’s next big phone, the Xperia 1 VII, is expected to launch next week, and thanks to some leaks, we already have a good idea of what it looks like. The design seems pretty similar to last year’s model, but with powerful new specs. It’s likely to come with Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 12GB RAM – so it should be super fast. Oh, and Sony is also launching their new headphones, the WH-1000XM6, right after that.

Design & Colors
Some leaked images (shared by Android Headlines) show the Xperia 1 VII in Black, Green, and Purple. Sony hasn’t officially shown it off yet, but it looks like they’re keeping the same tall screen style, with the selfie camera inside the top bezel (not a punch-hole).
On the back, there’s a triple camera setup in the top-left corner and a dual LED flash. It seems like the ultrawide and main cameras are on top, then the flash, and the zoom (periscope) camera below. The power button (which is also a fingerprint scanner) and the volume buttons are on the right side.

Display, Battery & Performance
The Xperia 1 VII is expected to have a 4K display with Sony’s Bravia tech, plus a Sunlight Mode to help with visibility outdoors. It’ll also come with a 5,000mAh battery, which could last up to two days. The phone should launch with Android 15 right out of the box.

WH-1000XM6 Headphones Also Coming
Sony’s also launching the WH-1000XM6 headphones just two days after the phone – on May 15. Not much is known yet, but leaks suggest they’ll have a new Sony QN3 processor, which should give better sound quality and noise cancellation.
